Round Trip  Ticket: A Theme with Variations for seven players.  2007.  13′ for picc/fl, cl/bass cl, 2 perc, piano, vln, vc.  Premiered and recorded by Washington Square Contemporary Music Ensemble, Lou Karchin, conductor.  Recorded at SUNY Purchase by Judy Sherman in 2010.  Will be released on an APNM double CD in 2018.  Available from APNM.


Chamber Concerto

1982.  15′ for sinfonietta: picc, fl, cl, bs cl, hrn, tpt, tbne, tuba, 2 perc, pno, 2 vln, vla, vc, db.

The music lurches between morose, duelling violins, slapstick tuttis, and heartbroken love letters, played by solo strings.   Premiered in August 1985 at the Tanglewood Music Festival, Kent Nagano, conductor.  Subsequent performances:  Pro Arte Orchestra, Gunther Schuller, conductor, in Boston; Speculum Musicae, Don Palma, conductor in NYC at Miller Theatre; San Francisco Contemporary Music Ensemble, Don Palma, conductor; Oberlin Conservatory Contemporary Music Ensemble.  Recorded by Speculum Musicae on CR #617 (New World Records).  Available from Schirmer Music.
